“One is not born, but rather becomes, a woman.”
– Simone de Beauvoir
The female Spiritual advantage is real. Whenever problems need solving through a manifestation of Light, women bring resolution. In every great crisis, a woman (in the spotlight or behind the scenes) you will find a woman who helps make things right. Women have a responsibility to the planet and humanity to not allow our Spiritual energy to be diminished. We play a major role in harmonizing different but inseparable functions in the world. In 2013 and beyond this role will increase exponentially across all sectors of society.
Here are six reasons why Naam Yoga and Meditation matter for women…
Move from “fixing” to “creating”~ We tend to struggle with healthy boundaries. People pleasing create a tendency to live and work from a “fixing” energy, which ironically creates more things to fix. Naam meditation causes a mind shift to a focus on creating from an expanded consciousness. This shift affords possibility beyond what is your immediate reality and empowers healthy boundaries.
Deepening your connection to your intuition ~ Too often in all the “daily doing” we get so deep into our intellect that we become alive from our neck up. And, in the age of the Divine Feminine, we cannot live disconnected from our heart and be fully alive. This is a fundamental tragedy since as women we have been given a special inner knowingness that we cannot access from the level of intellect. When we connect with our intuition, we gain an advantage because we are ahead of time/space. We connect with this inner knowing and make better choices for ourselves.
How would your life improve by deepening your connection to your intuition?
Accessing the dynamic connection to your Perineum and Pelvic Floor~ It is quite common for women to store the energy of frustration and negative emotions in our pelvic region. Stagnant, stuck energy in this region often leads to reproductive health issues such as fibroids, cysts, endometriosis and fertility challenges. Stuck energy in the pelvic region also makes it difficult to create ~ create love, abundance, sensuality and healthy sexuality. Naam Yoga for Women class provides practical techniques to deepen the connection to the perineum (hope, creativity, orgasm) and release stagnant energy, opening the possibility of creating more powerfully with less effort.
What do you want to create, with ease and flow?
Deepening your connection to the Divine Feminine and Shakti, the creative force that moves the entire universe ~ In all of our striving to achieve we often lose sight of the essential “super powers” of being a woman ~ KINDNESS & LOVE. This class contains many techniques to open and heal the heart, enabling us to access our greatest super powers ~ KINDNESS & LOVE. By clearing old negative emotional baggage we are then able to travel lighter, be more receptive and balance giving with equal amounts of receiving. We improve our self-esteem and are no longer afraid of our power. We show up fully in the world.
How would you experience life if you were able to stop pushing and start manifesting your hearts desires with ease, flow and abundance?
Opening the throat chakra to access your authentic voice ~ Using our voice, authentically, to create in the world is one of the greatest gifts we have. The power of the word is referenced in the great spiritual texts of the great spiritual traditions of the world including the Bible, Torah, Guru Granth Sahib and more. When we liberate our voices we allow others to do the same and we start making deep, authentic connections to each other and the world. Too often we stay silent when we want to speak up and when we finally do it comes out in rage, a fit or a flood of tears (or a combination of all three). By using a variety of sounds, music, visualization and chanting mantra with mudras (hand positions), you retune the brain bringing a new sense of clarity. This new mindset is achieved through various mechanisms described above, switching you from the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight mode) to a dominant parasympathetic, calmer, relaxed and more focused state. Speaking your truth then becomes more natural and in the moment. You stop wasting energy gossiping, complaining or with confusing dialog. You also listen better and have clearer perceptions because your mind is less cluttered.
How often do you speak your truth, uplifting others and asking for what you want ~ clearly and compassionately?
Mood enhancement and increased energy levels ~ Too often being a woman means having low energy and being subjected to mood swings, depression, anxiety and the like. Naam Yoga and meditation positively impacts the brain and endocrine system due to the increase of seratonin/melatonin and dopamine in the brain.
Reduced serotonin levels are caused by stress, lack of sleep and exercise, poor nutrition, and lack of sunlight which are connected with ADD, irritability, depression, aggression, anxiety, lack of concentration, chronic pain, restlessness or fatigue, nausea, obsessive-compulsive disorder, weight gain or loss, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, heat intolerance, cancer (lower levels of melatonin) and many other syndromes. Serotonin is converted into melatonin at night to allow an individual to sleep. Melatonin plays an important role in regulating hormones and the human day and night cycle.
